Hi

I am a Korean reader of this awesome manwha. Having read upto the end of the episode:Pray, I think a brief descriptions of some words appearing in this manwha will be helpful...as I was confused to the extreme myself.

They are explained as some special chapters later..but it needs some time to reach there yet.

Words not ordered. I may organize them later.

---------------------

#Beast

Enemy of the mankind. They invade planets, lead by so called 'Queen'.
A Queen sucks energy from core of a planet. Utilizing the energy and the resources, 'she' produces underling beasts to form an army, plants to mass produce more beasts.
Their origin is yet much unknown.
Beast can be classified in a hierarchy.

Queen :
She gives birth to the beasts using energy and resources of the planet under attack.
This process exhaust the planet greatly, and it is quicky 'desertified'.
It seems that Queen also gives birth to the next generation of queen.
Usually, they possess no battle ability, but are able to generate a vast scale shield (barrier), and 'nests' to protect themselves. There are exceptions.

Type/Class (shik):
This bit of translation is still under discussion.
It is named as 'number shik'.Most frequent and significant example is '0-shik' - tranlated as 'type-zero' initially, and as 'class-zero' later.
They are born directly from the Queen's womb. 0-shik is most popular. (Later 2-shik appears)
Usually, they are the strongest battle unit of the queen. Not all queens have one,as production of 0-shik requires great amount of resources and technology.
They are small battle unit. They possess at least one 'Core', a small but powerful energy generation source. With great mobility and power output, they are a great threat to mankind in the battles. Thus, destruction of a 0-shik often leads to the end of the battle.

Type (hyung):
The same translation issue here.
They are named as 'number hyung'..(e.g. 2-hyung). Number counts from 1 to 99, although only a few numbers (such as 2, 5, 7, 77 etc) are popular. (You may think it as production type..)
They are usually small battle unit, like 'shik's...But they are born from Queen's 'artificial womb'...or sub-womb. They also have a 'Core'(less powerful than those of shik's)
Together with shiks, they are sometimes referred as 'high rank beasts'.
Those with single digit numbers, (1~9 hyungs) are also called 'Single Numbers', and in general they are superior in power compared to other hyungs. For example, some 2-hyungs possess strength comparable to low-rank 0-shiks. (They are referred as 'Pseudo 0-shik' class.)

Number (beon):
They are named as 'number-beon'...(e.g. 600 beon, or Number 600)
They are mass-produced from 'Plants', which is like beast factory.
Although each individual numbers are insignificant in power, they form majority of the beasts' battle power due to their vast numbers.

#Knights

Battle power of mankind might be level with the beasts, but they were powerless against extremely mobile and powerful 'high rank beasts'. To oppose them, mankind trained soldiers called 'Knights' to specialize in battling these 'high rank beasts'.
They use 'AB sword' to overcome strong 'barrier' around beasts to cut them down. One could even say that knights are specialists to handle AB sword effectively. They are pictured as 'heros' of mankind...acting like a hope of the mankind.
It is known that an average-abled knight can handle a 77-hyung beast.

#AB sword

'Anti Barrier sword'...(usually) a sword containing so called 'AB particulates'.
Beasts possess a strong barrier, produced from powerful 'Core', thus normal weapons do not have sufficient power output to overcome the barrier. AB sword has mysterious property to overcome this barrier, so that a knight can cut beasts down..while missiles cannot.
AB particulates are EXTREMELY rare and valuable....that is a reason why Knights are so rare.

I will add more if necessary.

Enjoy Night Run...I mean Knight Run!

I just skimmed through your post, and it's mostly informative and a good collection of information, but most everything there was said in chapter 1 - 16. We're aware that we started this webtoon on chapter 17, so obviously you will have needed to follow the series/read chapters 1 - 16 to understand it all.

Question then about your one comment that some type-2s are about equally powerful as weaker type-0's. Is the named unit "Fang Blade" that was seen in the earlier chapters one of these or not? TBH I always assumed type-0's were far stronger than anything else didnt realize they were on an overlapping scale (particularly strong units may be stronger than weaker higher type units instead of the assumed type = power). For that matter is there any type of scaling chart for power levels of the different beasts seen in KR (obviously have to avoid spoilers for beasts not yet seen but would be included in any korean ranking chart probably).

Well, upto chapter 16 can be found in MF..so upto chapter 17 does not count as a spoiler I guess.

Those 'types' (hyungs) called 'named' can be safely assumed to have strength close to low rank class zeros. (0 shik). Yes, that 'Fang Blade' is one of these.

I am not sure if this is a spoiler...but I have to warn readers one thing.
The so-called 'power inflation' phenomenon in KR is comparable to that of 'Bleach'...or greater. So the power scale at early stage may not apply later.
