I enjoyed reading this series. It was quite confusing in the beginning, but it took quite some turns. The plot and all is pretty interesting, but it felted rushed on certain aspects. Ga On Bi should have fleshed out the interaction and development of Jae Hyuk and Serin's relationship better. Because I was very surprised his Jea Hyuk would go from: You're only my blood back now! to caring about Serin. The author could also go deeper into Jea Hyuck's school life before going to another arc. I feel like a lot of things have gone lost. Like a proper introduction of certain characters, I got confused so quickly, especially when the plot took such a turn. This is a real shame because the plot is quite good, but the way the author handle it was messy which leaves the readers with lots of questions. Like what about their school life? Won't Jae Hyuk's human friends notice that he's gone missing? And the landlady of his appartment? The author could also go deeper into the world of Chaos too. Introduce the readers more into the whole world, how does it exert, important landmarks, even as a short introduction. Because the main system was explained pretty late I've already read the sequel and it's very good, it's great to see all those characters from Immortal Regis reappear again. Too bad it's currently on hiatus. There are still a lot of questions unanswered, but I hope that Cavalier of the Abyss will answer those.

it started promising but then somehow turned into some random sequence of fighting scenes. I thought how I will praise this one for not beeing too offensive with the ecchi stuff, however when reading further the manhwa actually focussed more and more on ecchi while the plot somehow got lost in all those fighting scenes. this story lacks continuation, like for example characters appearing and disappearing when it suits the plot (see some comment below about shao shao. she was needed to heal the female MC, she heald the MC and we never saw her again. or even the male MC's brother. it's as if he doesn't exist any longer. he's just present in the MC's wish to return back to his world. and we even don't know how much time passed while the MC is in the other world - which is quite important for the story part about the brother).

well, I'm now at ch. 36. I'll read until the end 'cause there are only a few chapters left, though all those fights (where the female MC actually "died" several times and is still fighting - 'cause there's no other plot device to keep the tension high, right?) are starting to annoy me.

maybe I'm just too old for the shounen demographic.

What a mess of a narrative.

Ga On-Bi, man whoe doesn't know how to write sequels. I will remember you.

What happened to shao shao? rofl. She disappeared after healing Serin. @_@

Finally able to read Cavalier of the Abyss.

It was painful to read the whole thing.

Everything seems forcefully dramatic as the art is a real mess.

Since i'm not much into shounen, what is written on the swarm of visual effect did not shaken me much.

At least the context was good so i'm going to take a look at the sequel now.

The story is fucked up I grasped only half of it.

Can only give it max a 6/10...

Yeah, you have to be patient, the flashbacks don't start up and explain stuff until beyond ch 20... but then it gets good.

Personally, I stopped after 28, and waited until now to resume, which worked great, so starting it now shouldn't be any problem, as long as you can get through the beginning. Not that the beginning is bad, you just want to know what happened to the characters from immortal regis.

Pretty much this Immortal Regis was more of a prequel than anything else. It's got a confusing start but when your get going it actually makes a lot of sense

Wow ...what a awesome story...maybe the best manhwa i ever read, even the "love" part was great, i mean it was very different from the cliche boy meets girl

immortal  regis is way better than cavalier of the abyss .... the sequel is like another manhwa i dont know who is who or anything about them , it's like a fail manhwa without explanations ...

Spoiler

this series is pretty good but I have to agree it does feel kinda rushed... It would have been nice if the author "wasted" more time on the school front and developed more the friendship and romance part ( I donĀ“t mean creat a harem but still show a few more moments not just I feel in love with out of nowhere)
...
Nothing to say but to listen to the ppl below

It's been such a long time since I last read Immortal Regis. It never fails to disappoint. But, I never finished Cavalier of the Abyss. I read the first part and for some reason never returned. Anyways, I absolutely love these two series.
Good series although only thing i didn't like was that although their love could of progressed it was cock blocked by those two spirit type people
they finally uploaded the first series.nice.
This is one of the best korean manga I've ever read. highly recommended!

PS: There is a sequel called "CAVALIER IN THE ABYSS"
But, make sure to read Immortal Regis first.
